Mina first laid eyes on Sarah when she was a teenager, during a production of Tartuffe, and she thought, ‘what an incredible actress! I wonder if she will baby sit my three-year-old.’

Mina Menges Hegaard is an artist and entrepreneur with a passion for reading and writing. As a child her father took the family to the library once a week to check out as many books as they could each carry, and for her own daughter of course she did the same. The inspiration behind Sally Sue Thayer is to keep young imaginations fired up to have the audacity to live large and boldly.

With a formal education in illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, this Texas native explores life with an open heart and mind. If you happen to catch her she might be blasting Lady GaGa, doodling funny faces, or consuming copious amounts of iced coffee. Her biggest drive is for her work to bring joy and outcries of “Hell Yeah” from her audience.
